Introduce Yourself/Tell About Yourself
My name is Isaac Mashman and I’m a business owner, podcast host and a normal guy, striving to live an extraordinary life.
I’m originally from Jacksonville, Florida but am currently living in Arkansas, after spending roughly 10 months in Bakersfield, California.
I was raised in a moderately lower middle class home. I actually remember waking up at 6am in the morning when I was younger to take my grandfather to work, with my grandmother. As time went by and I was entering my senior year of high school, I was lost, confused and desperate to find a future path. I wasn’t a bad student. Quite the opposite actually, graduating in the top 10 of my class. One thing I did know however regardless of my academia, was that college would be a waste of time.
This is when I “stumbled” into entrepreneurship. I won’t go into too much detail, but since graduating in 2018, I have pursued multiple businesses, launched two podcasts including my present one, Chase the Vision with Isaac Mashman, traveled some of the world, and launched my first official company, the public relations firm, Mashman Ventures on April 17th 2020.
What Inspires You Every day?
The thought of living up to my potential.
What are some words of wisdom you live by?
Let me use several quotes. One is my own.
“People get too big to do the little things and then wonder why they don’t have the big results.” - Isaac Mashman
The second one is,
“The smart man learns from his mistakes, the genius learns from the mistakes of others.”
Finally, this being the premise of my podcast,
“At the center of all achievement is personal growth.”
What is your ultimate goal in life?
I don’t have one single goal in life. I feel like that would be too vague, and honestly not fun at all. I’m working like I mentioned earlier to live up to my potential, but I’m also working for freedom.
Do I want to take a random trip today? Perfect, let me call my pilot. That sort of thing.
To be able to set the example and show that it’s possible to go from the bottom to the top is a phenomenal driver as well.
How have you been during the pandemic and how has it affected you?
It hasn’t affected me all too much. I’d argue that if anything it has helped propel me forward and find my footing.
Prior to launching Mashman Ventures (in the middle of the pandemic at that I was managing an artist, and we had to cancel several shows. If we held those shows though, I’m not sure I would have left the music industry.
What is a message you would like to give others?
1. THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!
2. Invest into yourself! You can’t go wrong with personal development.
3. Protect your energy. Be careful with whom you hang out with.
4. Your time is never truly “free.”
What else would you like to tell others about you or your life?
Nothing too much! I’d be honored to take you all along this journey of mine. I’ve documented much of the last few years, and I don’t plan on stopping that anytime soon.
